
If you are like me, Monday is Margarita Monday! I am always looking for new margarita recipes to try. To muddle the jalapeño, frozen mango, cilantro, and lime juice, you can put it in a shaker, press it in the glass with a muddler, or you can use the back of the spoon to press the ingredients to the sides of the glass. You can also use chili powder or Tajin instead depending on what you prefer. Muddling ingredients means you are pressing the ingredients against the sides of the glass. Add all of the ingredients into a high-powered blender and blend until smooth. Strain your mixture into the glass prepared with ice, garnish, and enjoy your mango margarita! How do You Muddle Ingredients? In the glass you muddled the ingredients, add tequila, sweetened lime juice, and mango juice. Then, muddle the ingredients for about 30-seconds.

In a separate glass, combine jalapeño, frozen mango, cilantro, and juice from half of lime. Rim the glass with a slice of lime, then dip it into salt or sugar (I like mine in sugar). Packed with flavor and a kick of jalapeño, this mango margarita is the perfect splash of sweetness and spiciness that you can whip up in just a few easy steps. Not only is it good in margaritas, but it is pretty smooth as a shot, too. Additionally, a silver or blanco tequila is best for margaritas. However, if you want to avoid a nasty hangover, I would pick something in the middle! If you are looking for a good mid-range tequila perfect for cocktails, I would suggest the 1800 brand. Since you are making a cocktail, you don’t have to have top of the shelf tequila. But, if you can’t handle the kick, leave the jalapeño out. You will have more of a sweet and sour margarita than a sweet and spicy margarita. The flavor will be much different, but not horrible. To serve, rub the rim of each glass with a cut lime wedge and dip the rim into salt or chile powder. Instead, you will just have a mango margarita.
